At just 27 years old, Rethabile \u201cShaz\u201d Motaung has carved a remarkable path in the field of dermatology aesthetics, driven by her commitment to enhancing skin health and bolstering individuals\u2019 self-esteem.<\/p>\n

Her journey commenced during her formative years in high school, where she witnessed first-hand the profound impact skin issues can exert on one\u2019s confidence. Inspired by her friends\u2019 struggles and her own mother\u2019s battle with hyperpigmentation, Shaz recognized the transformative power of effective skin care interventions. This revelation sparked a desire within her to explore the world of skin disorders and treatments further, paving the way for her remarkable journey.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Shaz earned a National Diploma in Somatology from the University of Johannesburg, laying the groundwork for her subsequent endeavours. Undeterred by challenges, she furthered her academic pursuits, obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Dermal Aesthetics from Isa Carstens in 2018. Her experience as the sole black student in her class at Isa Carstens galvanized her resolve to explore treatments tailored for black skin in an industry predominantly characterized by white representation.<\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2023, Shaz honed her craft and expanded her expertise through Aesthetic Clinics and collaborations with renowned Aesthetics Doctors. Her tenure at Genop Healthcare under Adcock Ingram proved instrumental in refining her skills as she imparted invaluable insights to aesthetic GPs, Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons alike.<\/p>\n

In January 2024, Shaz embarked on a bold entrepreneurial venture, founding the\u00a0Skin Restoration<\/a>\u00a0Aesthetics Clinic. At her clinic, Shaz endeavours to address an array of skin concerns, ranging from hyperpigmentation to acne and scarring, by providing tailored treatments and imparting the importance of simple skincare routines. Central to her mission is the belief that nurturing one\u2019s skin is tantamount to nurturing one\u2019s overall well-being.<\/p>\n
